In general, we feel that most Earthlings have too many possessions, stuff that gets in the way of human life. So much so, that quite often, a lot of you have no idea what exactly you have at home.
Yes, all of this stuff weighs heavy on you, slows you down. But a magical thing often happens when you simply pause to actually look at the books on your library shelf, or take stock of what you possess or decide to purge some of your unused possessions: you discover one or several hidden treasures.
A book you had no clue you picked up that is in line with a project, an idea, a dream you had in your head/heart or were working on; simply a title that somehow steers your in the right direction; or, as you open a "random" book, a picture, a dried leaf or money falling to the ground.
A stash of paint, paint brushes and canvas; a blank notebook with crisp white pages accompanied by your long-lost favourite pen; an old family cookbook returning you to a simpler time...
You, finally deciding to empty that box that has been in your way for months, and finding an item you had frantically been searching for.
As you put order into your physical life, you discover (or rediscover) what is important to you; how much you have changed for the better (hopefully); how truly blessed you are; old interests or hobbies worth rekindling; handy items you should start putting to good use; even not-so-well-thought-of purchases that could go to a great home... just not yours.
In the busyness of your daily life, quite often you just go through the motions without really thinking. Most of the time, once the work day and the chores are done, you are wiped out. Longing for something new sometimes, but without the energy to make it happen. Going on automatic pilot is a very simple way you have found to stay sane in this crazy world of yours.
One great way to slow down, to do less is to take moments out of your day, week or month to declutter: a counter, a desk, a drawer, a closet, a box... and to maintain it once it is done. It all adds up.
All the rest and nurture We have been writing about includes taking care of your physical space to make it a place where you can truly, genuinely relax, rest, meditate, create, grow, raise a family... So much of what used to pass, be "bearable" or OK, is more disruptive than you believe. The more things change on the outside - and even within - the more your physical space needs to be simple, neat, orderly, so you can live in alignment, in balance.
A lot of you think "Well, these are just things. I have room for them. It is OK to have a lot of possessions as long as they are not invading my space."
Well, if the physical presence of these objects are not invading your space, their energy/memory is. Think about it. Everything is energy. You are growing more and more sensitive. Whatever energy (or memory) these items carry or represent transpierce you whenever you see them, touch them or even are near them.
If you feel tired, restless, stressed, anxious and you are doing everything right, walk around your dwelling, see your possessions, their placement... Pay attention to how your body is feeling as you are moving from room to room. If you are feeling open, light, then your belongings are not disruptive. However, if you feel yourself closing up, tightening, and a knot is developping in your stomach area, your things/clutter could be interfering with your life a lot more than you think.
Decluttering and organizing your space will really free up your life in more ways than you can imagine. It often can also make you realize how full and rich your life is.. just as it it! And by removing all the extras that do little or nothing to lift up your soul, you feel lighter and have created space to welcome what your soul/higher self needs to soar.
When you observe your things, your life, your situation... without comparing it to any other, often you see that your own grass is quite green and lush, and that you already have pretty much everything you need right at home.
It can be a very liberating experience for many, realizing that the only person you need to keep up with is yourself. The gathering mentality has been ingrained in you since you left the caves, and now it is reinforced daily by your society, mostly through the advertising and stores that surround you.
Big societies need you to be dissatisfied with what you have and with who you are to get rich. They push their products for their own well-being, remember that.
And this gathering has extended into you mind, your spiritual life.
There is a generalized overconsumption of information, other people's advice, experiences, beliefs, knowledge... Yes, we do see the irony in us conveying this message.
You see, on one hand, some of that outside information and knowledge is quite helpful, useful to you. Sometimes it can even be life-saving, life changing.
But on the other hand, a lot of the advice, facts and information is simply mental clutter that piles up over your own knowingness and wisdom. By discarding beliefs, opinions, advice and "data" that do not resonate with you or that do little to enhance your life, you will discover some hidden treasure of your own making, of your own being.
And these treasures are one of a kind. If you fail to take the time to do what it takes to be able to unearth them, it is a great loss not only for yourself, but for the world also.
Decluttering your physical life impacts your spiritual life in positive ways, and vice-versa.
By decluttering, you are actively giving yourself, your body, your mind, your soul room to breathe. And in doing so, it has room to let the sunshine in and grow.
As we have indicated before, if you want anything new in your life, you have to make room for it. For if you are always in the mental space of being "overstuffed", well that will block, neutralize, delay many great things that want to come your way.
Many hidden treasures and opportunities are waiting for you. All that is required of you is a little time and effort to make room for them and find them.
This is all.
Much Light, Love and Space to Everyone.

About Me
- Daughter of Truth
- I'm an Earthling, just like you. I unexpectedly started to receive messages from Mother Earth in March of 2011, which I was asked by Gaia to share. I have agreed to do so, when appropriate. Some people seek to receive such messages, that was never the case for me. To be honest, I absolutely had no interest to do so. Now that I am relatively used to it, I enjoy it very much. Mind you, it has been quite a roller coaster ride, but a very fulfilling one. I hope you will find the messages useful. They have been a tremendous help in my life. The message is what's important, not the messenger. Your soul will tell you if your Truth matches the one contained in these "translations". They ring true to me, and so I have agreed to share them. La Messagère travaille également en français. Be well.
amen.
