Say Yes to Yourself

Things are changing, moving fast. There is a lot of unsettled energy. It affects all of you, and it does so differently. The Messager has been in "questioning" mode for many, many days. Questioning whether she has the strength to go on with her path while holding on to a regular job. Wondering how to contribute to this world while she helps herself. Asking herself if what she does actually matters.

You see, need is sky-high on this planet at this moment, and has been so for a while. And she has been feeling it. Need for rest, serenity, for doing less, for going within more and more. And the need of all around her - people wanting her help, her affection, her time, her company... Or others telling her how they are struggling to keep up with the need they are confronted with.

This high level of need is triggered by energy - seen in natural disasters, the collapse or fragility of man-made structures or systems, atrocious acts committed by people who got lost in fear (our heart aches for you Norway). Need seems to fill the air if you will.

A lot of people will seek help outwards to meet their need(s), to fill the void. And others, more "conscious" or "aware" individuals will have greater need to look inward for answers. For they feel a greater need for rest, for self-love, nurture, meditation, solitude... to center, charge, ground, make sense of what is going on, adapt to it. To release the fear, the doubt, the uncertainty. For this energy can bring forth addictive of compulsive behaviour if you hold on to it.

And if you belong to the "aware" group if you will, chances are there is a line-up of people needing you. Even those who are not fully conscious of what is occurring on this Earth sense that there is something special about you, who has awakened. They see your light, are drawn to it. Even if you do not see yourself how bright you are shining, you are a beacon in the life of many. This is why you must take great care of managing your energy supply, of refuelling yourself, so you can guide others, help them find their own way.

So, if you have been walking on the path of enlightenment for a while, you will probably be sollicited greatly by those who look outwards to fill their need. And it those needs may seem unrelated to the current energy or even trivial - like someone asking your for a lift, for a small amount of money, for a cup of sugar, for time... Saying yes to many, many small acts of need (and some bigger ones) may dim or extinguish your light if you are not careful.

Think of last year at this time if you can. How was the sense of need compared to that of this year? For many of you, last July feels like a decade ago. Seems so far away because of how different your life, the world is. The energy was different in 2010. Lighter. This sense, this urgency of need was far less present.

We just want you to be mindful, aware of all that is asked of you - big or small; at work or at home or in your social circles... Be aware of this great sense of need and of the fact that you must say yest to yourself first. By that we mean meeting your own need(s) first, and checking how the thought of helping another feels: if you feel good and uplifted, proceed, and if you feel weighed down or drained, perhaps it is best if you leave the task to someone else.

You see, it is impossible to come to the rescue of all that are in need. Choose wisely. Say yes to yourself, to your need(s) first, so you can better handle everything that comes your way. Because more is to come. A lot more.

And while you may not be able to meet the need(s) of all that come to you, for it would simply take too much of your time and energy, remember that there are a lot of instances where you can guide others to meet their own need. To find their own solution. Just because someone comes to you does not mean you must do everything to meet their need. Remember that you can teach them how to fish if you will.

The world is changing Earthlings, and you must learn new ways to live, to be.

The more you say yes to yourself, while being kind, respectful and loving towards others, the brighter your light will shine. The stronger your flame, your fire will burn. If you put the need of others before your own, if you turn a deaf ear to the messages your body, your soul is giving you, your "ride" may get a little bumpy, (self) doubt can creep in.

This is normal. It has to do with the current energy and the high level of need. This will linger for a while, and affects everybody in various ways.

Before you can "save" (or help) anybody, you must save (or help) yourself first. The more rested you are, the more you take good care of yourself (whatever you need in terms of nutrition, exercise, meditation, rest...), the better person / healer / worker / friend / wife / husband / neighbour... you become. As we have said before, you are the most important person in your world.

Just be kind to yourself and to others. Listen to the advice you give others - applying it to your life may be a good idea...

The Messenger needs a lot of rest. Everything that has been going on for the past week or so has made her physically ill. Messages may be less frequent for a week or two. Remember that you can talk to Gaia yourself. Mother Earth is there for each and every one of you. After all, you are all Gaia's Daughters and Sons.
