Nature... Everpresent

The topic of Nature is touched upon quite often here. And the importance of going to nature, of spending time in Mother Earth's natural sanctuary is emphasized time and again.

Even if it does not seem so, you are surrounded by nature whenever you step outside. Yes, Man  has built over it, poured concrete over it, ripped trees and plants out, even flattened areas and dried out lakes and streams to suit his fancy. Yet Nature is always there. At least through the sky and the air.

We are aware that for some of you, coming across a patch of grass or a tree in the city is a rare occurrence. Your environment is so man-made that it is easy for you to foget that there is Earth beneath all that concrete.

Sometimes it seems that your society wants you to forget that I (Gaia) exist. That plants, rocks and water are alive. That I am conscious of what is going on. Of what is being done to me and to you, my Children.

You see, all the industries - gold, oil, diamonds... need you to be/feel separate from me (Mother Earth) to continue doing what they are doing. To "prosper" while destoying environments, cultures, lives... They have little regard for the Earth and the people who honour it. It is in their best interest for you to feel separate, disconnected from the Earth you walk on, from your brothers and sisters in the rainforest and across the street whose voices do not seem to matter to big industries who want to steal or pollute their land... with the blessings of various governments who desperately need the money handed out to them, thinking this is the only way...

The situation is quite disheartening. And it is happening all over the world. Some extremely dammaging practices are occuring in many of your "backyards". But for you to be concerned about the industrial practices conducted all over the world, you have to remember that nature is ever present. That you are ALWAYS connected to it, even if you are surrounded by concrete, glass and metal. Remember Earthlings, you are only tenants here on this Earth. This planet is not yours (in the human collective sense) to do whatever you please with it.

It seems that so often, you seem to be so involved, absorbed in your daily life that you fail to see, to feel Nature's presence. I mean, tell me, whenever you come back from an errand outside, can you honestly tell me that you can always recall whether the sky was blue, or full of white fluffy clouds or grey, if there was a wind or a gentle breeze... even if it was raining or snowing out. Quite often you have to peer out the window to check before giving your answer. And have you ever taken a long walk in the park, not noticing there were birds and that they were singing - until someone pointed it out to you or you became the unintended(?) target of their droppings?

Your towns and cities have been built around and on the natural environment. No matter how your specific environment may be, nature is always there. It has always been there. Way before humans moved out of their cave into a dwelling they had made themselves... with nature's materials.

You all live in a different environment. Some of you are more "blessed" than others in the sense that you live in areas where the touch of Man was (a lot) more gentle.

Yes, we do urge you, encourage you to immerse yourself in nature. To visit places where nature has been preserved. Because going there is akin to plugging yourself in the Earth's everlasting power supply. It is a direct contact with the Source if you will. This is nothing new, of course.

But we also want to remind you that Nature is always around. Just stepping outside to feel rain drops falling on your skin, experiencing their coolness or their warmth, standing there, in the rain until you are absolutely drenched. A truly natural "cleansing" if you will. Being cleansed and recharged at the same time. Or when you are walking somewhere, be it to your car or to the store, stopping for a moment to look up at the sky, to see Nature's aerial painting/artwork of the day or night. To feel the wind. To hear the birds.

Doing all these simple gestures throughout the day simply remind you that you are part of something so much bigger than you. Something infinite. That what affects your neighbour across the street or across the globe does affect you as well. And that you affect them. It does impact the way you view and interact with the world. The choices you make. The causes you support...

No matter what Man does, Nature is stronger. - Nature as a whole and nature as in who you are.

Whenever you feel weak, alone, sad, powerless... think of the weeds growing through the cracks on the sidewalk. Although they seem fragile and weak, especially fighting against the cold, hard concrete, they find a way to grow, to flourish, to be the best weeds they can be. They find a way to be, simply. A "brainless" weed can do that... conquer the concrete! It follows nature and its nature. Just thinking about this feat (or any proof of courage and determination) is sure to raise your vibration. And if a simple weed can do that, beat the odds, what is stopping you to be all that you are? You are so much more than you think. We keep saying that, we know. We just want you to know, to feel that it is true.

Each time you take a moment to connect with Nature in the form that is it where you live, it reminds you just how important and powerful you are. That you are connected to everything that is. And that like everything that is, you came here to be you, in all your unique glory.
